ELEMENTARY SCHOOLING PROGRAMS
Umaña Academy is a Christian Fine Arts academic program for families seeking an excellent education with fine art instruction at its core.  Our vision is to provide students the opportunity to excel in their studies, while nurturing them spiritually and encouraging them to become who they are in Christ.

Our program is geared for families who want a more personalized approach to their child's education; understand the fundamental importance of Christian character development, and who see the value of fine art education. Furthermore, our small class size enable us to provide a personalized learning environment.  We facilitate learning through hands-on activities, one-on-one instruction, computer learning and integration of fine arts in various areas of study.

3 day Academic Program

The 3 day Academic Program focuses on four core areas of study: 

  • Language Arts (Phonics, Grammar, Reading ,Reading Comprehension, Writing, Spelling, Vocabulary, Literature)
  • Arithmetic (Math)
  • History & Biblical Studies  (Social Studies & Bible)
  • Science (Physical, Earth, Life, Science & Experimentation)

Miscellaneous Information
Recess:  Students enjoy 20 minute recess & 40 minute lunchtime.
Uniforms: Uniforms are required and may be purchased through TrueGrits.com.  They consist of jean bottoms and a polo shirt.
Teachers:  All our teachers are qualified Credentialed teachers.
Grade Levels:  Most grades are combo classes. 
Interview/Testing:  An admissions test is administered to all incoming students and a family interview is held for final acceptance into program.
Computers:  Laptops are highly recommended for 4th grade & above.
Charter School:  Charter School Funds are NOT applicable to the 3 day Academic Program.
Priority Enrollment:  Priority enrollment is given to current families. 
Tuition Discount:  Families pre-paying for the year in advance will receive a 5% tuition discount.  Must be cash/check.
Sibling Discount We offer a 2nd child tuition discount of 10%.
Graduation:  6th and 8th Grade Graduation.  Cap & gown prices vary from $40-$60.
Field Trips:  Various field trips offered throughout the year.
Social Events:  Families are able to participate in various social events throughout the year including, but not limited to:  Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Caroling, Grandparent Tea, Easter Chapel, Me & Dad Night Out and Family Picnic.
