2012-2013

Umaña Academy is a Christian program designed to support homeschooling families by providing a Christ centered environment where academic excellence, spiritual growth and social opportunities can take place in a small class setting while concurrently training, equipping and guiding parents in this enriching journey.

Elementary Academic Program (scroll down for Jr. High Program information)

Core Area of Study: 

  • Language Arts (Phonics, English Grammar, Reading, Writing, Literature & Spelling)
  • Arithmetic (Math)
  • History & Biblical Studies  (Social Studies & Bible)
  • Science (Physical, Earth & Life Sciences & Experimentation)

Miscellaneous Information

Uniforms:  Required and may be purchased through our contracted uniform store.
Teachers: Qualified credentialed teachers.
Grade Levels:  Most classes are combo grades.
Testing & Interview:  Admissions exam and family interview are required before final acceptance into the program. 
Laptops:  Highly recommended for students 4th grade & above.
Charter School:  Funds may not be applied towards this program.
Priority Enrollment:  Priority is given to students currently enrolled in our Programs.
Sibling Discount:  3rd child tuition discount of 10%. 
Field Trips:  Various field trips are offered throughout the year.
Social Events: Families are able to participate in various social events throughout the year including:  Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Caroling, Grandparent Tea, Easter Chapel, Me & Dad Night Out and our annual Academy Family Picnic.
